Welcome to Kaprise!
I am (oh my dear) finally done with law school, and I’m fumbling around trying to figure out exactly what makes me tick and what I want to do with my life. In the mean time, I write a ton of stuff online and entertain myself with cooking, crafts, and other things.
I have a little dog named Boo (my little munchkin) that I talk about all the time. She makes me laugh every single morning when her little fluffy head pops out of her bedding when she hears me fall out of bed. Boo is my saving grace when I need a cheer up. Her fluffy little face is just my favorite. She is the sweetest little dog and the light of my life.
In law school, I spent most of my first year losing my mind and falling asleep in lecture, so I started this blog to document the crazy and to share my recipes and thoughts. This is my place to explore everything and anything that catches my eye, a lot of which is food related. This is my place to share my heart, and to be my voice when I feel unheard. I write about anything and everything, but I try to focus the most on positive things. I love baking and cooking, so you’ll find a lot of my day to day recipes on here. I also love making ridiculous and challenging things, so occasionally you’ll see those projects documented here too. I love painting and making jewelry, and I’m notorious for tearing my clothing apart at the seams to make it prettier (sometimes not prettier, but no matter!). I haven’t shared many of my craft projects here, but eventually I’ll add those as well.
The beautiful pottery that my food is displayed in is compliments of my mother, an extremely talented artist. When I first got into law school, my mother gifted with me a beautiful set of pottery to use. Whenever I prepared something and ate, I remembered that my mother is above all my pillar of strength and that she is always on my side despite any feelings I had to the contrary. Her immoveable strength and support, in everything, got me through law school. Anyway, my mother is a beautiful person and an even more beautiful and talented artist. At some point I will post some more information and a working website link to her artistry, but until then you will have to settle of pictures of her beautiful pottery providing the beautiful backdrop for the food I make.
All of the photography here, unless stated otherwise, is mine. Many of the earlier posts have photographs that I took with a little point and shoot. I replaced that camera with the Sony Alpha Nex-5. I love it, but if you have questions about the mirrorless/hybrid variety of camera, let me know and I’ll fill you in on mine.
Anyway, welcome to my little slice of life and adventure and as always, thank you for visiting!

2. Tell 7 Random facts about yourself.
3. Pass the award on to 7 new found (or old favorite) bloggers.
4. Contact each blogger you want to pass the award on to and let them know you’ve done so, and let the giver of your award know you accept it… or not.
